The dementia friendly hospital room at the The University of Stirlings, Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) was completed in April 2015. This was an addition to the existing suite of rooms within the Design & Technology Suite. We aimed to create an environment that could standup to today's demanding hospital requirements such as infection control, Health & Safety and staff needs, while creating a welcoming and homely space suitable for someone living with dementia using best practice in dementia design.
