Neuadd Maldwyn in Welshpool, Wales, is an interior design scheme project developed for ClwydAlyn Housing. The extra care scheme consists of self-contained 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and shared communal spaces. We developed designs for the show flat and communal areas, which included a restaurant, lounge space, multi-purpose room, assisted bathroom, laundry, foyer, information point and the corridors with a full signage design. Our designs for the staff areas included the meeting room, staff room and offices. Our concepts for the designs had historical, and local influences while maintaining principles from dementia friendly design.
