Murrayside Care Home

Murrayside Care Home in Corstorphine, Edinburgh was completed in summer 2018. Designed for 63 residents with ancillary facilities including a cafe, a library, activity spaces and externally a new car park and gardens. 

The building layout minimises the numbers of residents grouped together whilst allowing the provider to have acceptable staffing ratios for residents, each with their own dining area, kitchenette and sitting room. Each flat consists of either 9 or 12 residents, and has its own front door.

There are terraces to the east side of the building accessed via the cafe and library to  benefit from the sunlight and have clear views of the castle.
