Building B29 on the Highfield Campus of the University of Southampton was built in 1961 to a distinctive design by Sir Basil Spence. It houses laboratories forming part of the Chemistry Department. The overcladding and window replacement was designed to respect the original concept while upgrading its appearance and performance to current standards.
